I wanted something different than hot chocolate but still warm and cozy. I had matcha, I had blue spirulina, and I thought, why not try them together?
It actually turned out really pretty.
The matcha gives you that earthy green base, and the blue milk on top makes this soft wintery gradient. It looks impressive but it’s honestly very simple to make.
If you use a clear glass, the layers show up beautifully. You can leave it layered or stir it and get this soft teal color that feels very winter.
It’s lightly sweet, calm, and not heavy. Perfect for a snow day when you want something warm but not rich.
If you try it, I hope you love it. The full recipe card is below for easy saving.
