It’s funny how the things you once barely noticed can become the things you want most.
When I think about being rich, my mind doesn’t immediately go somewhere extravagant. It goes to a kitchen full of groceries and knowing I don’t have to think about the total. It’s a full tank of gas. It’s waking up on a Saturday morning and realizing there is absolutely nowhere I have to be.
It’s clean sheets after a shower and that wonderful moment when you climb into bed and everything feels right.
It’s having enough room in a house for everyone to wander off and do their own thing, but still hearing the people you love somewhere in the background.
It’s buying flowers for no reason.
It’s using the good candle on a Tuesday.
It’s having someone in your life who says, “I’ll be there,” and then actually comes.
I think there was a time when I imagined wealth as having more. More money, more beautiful things, a bigger house, better vacations, fewer things to worry about.
And yes, I would still happily take all of the above.
But life has made me notice a different kind of wealth, too.
Having enough. Having choices. Having time. Having people who stay.
Having an ordinary day that you don’t need to escape from.
These little things don’t feel so little to me anymore.
Here are a few of the things that feel like wealth to me now.

Before you go, I made you a little something.
I thought it might be nice to make your own inventory of the things that make your life feel rich. Not the things you’re still waiting for or hoping to have someday, but the good things that are already here.
Print this page, make yourself something warm to drink, and take a few quiet minutes with it. Don’t think too hard about your answers. The smallest things count.
